Here at Brady Bunch Early Learning Centre our learning environments are set up to cater for the five individual age groups from six weeks to five years as well as catering for the school age children up to year six.
Our educators facilitate children’s learning by responding to the interest within each of the learning environments and responding to the interests and needs of each individual child and their needs. Both our indoor and outdoor environments offer children and families endless opportunities to explore, contribute ideas, question, find new interests and promote children’s understanding about the world around them. We also provide a range of opportunities for individual and shared experiences both indoors and outdoors in the natural environment.
Here at Brady Bunch ELC we focus on The Early Years Framework as our basis for programming for children under the age of five. Within the Framework there are three basic concepts that children’s lives are characterised by; Belonging, Being and Becoming. This refers to how a child, even prior to birth is linked to family, community, culture and place. Through these relationships a child’s development and learning takes place as they begin to explore, develop interests, create their own identity and make meaning to the world around them. These three concepts, Belonging, Being & Becoming, represent life and living and are constantly referred to throughout the EYLF.
For those children over the age of five and attending prep the following year, we focus on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines with emphasis on the fundamentals of the Early Years Learning Framework. The program is delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, who plays a vital role in supporting children’s learning through positive social interactions, using inclusive, responsive and culturally sensitive teaching practices.
